Terms of Service

Last updated: April 17, 2026

Welcome to Stack Dev Life. By accessing or using stackdevlife.com (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About the Site

Stack Dev Life is a personal blog run by Sandeep Bansod, publishing articles on technology, health, lifestyle, and software development. The content is provided for informational and educational purposes only.

2. Use of Content

All content on this Site — including articles, images, and code samples — is owned by Sandeep Bansod unless otherwise stated.

You are welcome to:

  • Read, share, and link to articles for personal or non-commercial purposes.
  • Use code snippets from articles in your own projects (attribution appreciated but not required).

You may not:

  • Reproduce or republish full articles on other websites without written permission.
  • Use the content for commercial purposes without prior consent.
  • Claim authorship of content created by this Site.

3. Accuracy of Information

The articles on this Site reflect personal opinions and experiences. While we strive for accuracy, we make no guarantees that the content is complete, current, or error-free. Always exercise your own judgement, especially when applying technical advice to production systems.

4. Newsletter & Email Notifications

By subscribing to the newsletter, you agree to receive:

  • A one-time welcome email upon subscription.
  • Occasional emails when new articles or tips are published.
  • A weekly digest email (sent Mondays) summarising recent content and featuring a developer tool.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email. We will never use your email address for any purpose other than these notifications.

If you leave a comment on an article and another user replies to it, you may receive a single reply notification email at the address you provided when commenting. You can avoid these emails by not providing an email address when commenting, or by contacting us to opt out.

5. Developer Tools

This Site provides a set of free browser-based developer tools available at /tools, including JWT Decoder, JSON Formatter, Regex Tester, Dockerfile Linter, Base64 Encoder/Decoder, Unix Timestamp Converter, UUID Generator, HTTP Status Codes, Cron Parser, curl → fetch Converter, SQL Formatter, Markdown Previewer, Password Generator, Color Picker & Converter, QR Code Generator, and Text Case Converter.

  • All tools run entirely in your browser. No data you enter into any tool is transmitted to our servers or stored anywhere outside your device.
  • The tools are provided "as is" for informational and convenience purposes only. We make no guarantee as to the accuracy or completeness of results produced by the tools.
  • Do not rely solely on these tools for security-critical decisions (e.g. JWT signature verification). Always validate using your own trusted libraries in production environments.
  • Your tool visit history and pinned tools are saved locally in your browser's localStorage and are never transmitted to our servers.

6. Code Snippet Library

The Site provides a Code Snippet Library (/snippets) containing reusable code examples contributed by the site author.

  • You may use code snippets from the library in your own projects. Attribution is appreciated but not required.
  • Snippets are provided "as is" without warranty. Always review and test code before using it in production.
  • You may not republish the snippet library content in bulk or claim authorship of snippets created by this Site.

7. Daily Challenge & Profile Features

The Site offers a Daily Challenge feature (/challenge) and a Profile page (/profile) with reading streaks, stats, and badges.

  • All data for these features — reading streaks, article and tip read history, tool visit history, and earned badges — is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. Nothing is transmitted to or stored on our servers.
  • These features are provided for engagement and personal tracking purposes only. Streak counts, badge awards, and statistics are illustrative and carry no monetary or legal value.
  • Badges can be shared via a URL that encodes your badge IDs in a Base64 string. No personal data is included in that URL.
  • Clearing your browser data will permanently delete all local feature data. We have no way to recover it.

9. Links to Third-Party Sites

This Site may contain links to external websites. These links are provided for convenience only. We have no control over the content of those sites and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.

10. Comments

Visitors may leave comments on articles. By submitting a comment, you agree to the following:

  • Your name and comment text will be displayed publicly on the article page after moderation approval.
  • Your email address will not be published. It is stored privately and used only for moderation purposes.
  • Your optional website URL will be displayed publicly as a link if provided.
  • All comments are subject to moderation. We reserve the right to approve, reject, hide, or delete any comment at our sole discretion.

When submitting a comment you agree not to:

  • Post content that is abusive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or hateful.
  • Post spam, unsolicited advertising, or promotional material.
